The Happy Virus

When this gets published, I’m either sleeping off my jet lag or desperately trying not to sleep in order to wrangle my circadian rhythm back to Eastern Standard Time Zone. Darling, I’m back!

In case you missed it, I condensed my growing aching homesickness into a two week whirlwind road trip back home. And though it’s not enough, it’s never enough, here I am Stateside, full of joy, brimming with words, and yet a little speechless. The world is a vast, beautifully tumultuous place, but right now I’m grateful to be home with Hafez whimsically ruminating on my bedside:

I caught the happy virus last night

When I was out singing beneath the stars,

It is remarkably contagious --

                       So kiss me.

An ask for this month: if we’ve ever met and you’ve wanted to shout about it from the roofs, I’d love to (re)receive your testimonials on my PrivateDelights profile. If you veer towards the explicit, I also have a handle on TNABoard (my handle across the Internet, if not my name, is always jasmineisariot)
